De retour aux affaires : une soirée magique au Z7 de Pratteln
Retour aux affaires ce samedi 25 avril avec un déplacement très attendu au Z7 Konzertfabrik pour une soirée qui s’annonçait déjà mémorable… et qui a tenu toutes ses promesses.
Trois groupes à l’affiche, et un départ sur les chapeaux de roues avec une très belle découverte : League of Distortion.
Formé en 2022 autour de la chanteuse Anna “Ace” Brunner (également connue pour Exit Eden) et du guitariste Jim Müller (Kissin’ Dynamite), le groupe est né pendant la pandémie avec une envie claire : transformer frustration et énergie brute en musique.
Le résultat ? Un metal moderne ultra efficace, mêlant électronique, riffs lourds et refrains accrocheurs. Leur album Galvanize (2024) pousse encore plus loin cette identité avec une énergie presque incontrôlable.
Sur scène, ça ne pardonne pas : une présence énorme, une chanteuse impressionnante et un groupe qui sait immédiatement capter le public. Une vraie claque live et clairement une des belles surprises de la soirée.
Ensuite, place à une question qui a traversé toute la salle : pour qui le public était-il venu ? Les mystérieuses Dogma ou les charismatiques Lord of the Lost ?
Difficile de trancher… et honnêtement, vu l’ambiance, la réponse est sûrement simple : pour les deux.
Arrêtons donc de chercher et profitons. L’arrivée de Dogma était pour moi un vrai moment attendu. Et le Z7 l’a rendu possible.
Dogma, c’est bien plus qu’un groupe : c’est un concept. Un groupe entièrement féminin qui mélange metal, rock théâtral et imagerie sombre presque “religieuse”. Elles incarnent des figures symboliques et proposent un univers basé sur la liberté, la provocation et l’émancipation.
Leur musique, portée par des riffs puissants et une ambiance très sensuelle, aborde des thèmes comme la libération personnelle et le rejet des normes imposées.
Sur scène, c’est un vrai spectacle : maquillage, attitude, jeux de scène… tout est pensé. Musicalement, c’est solide et captivant, et on a clairement adoré la prestation.
Seul petit point étrange : la fin du concert et la manière de quitter la scène, un peu déroutante… mais ça reste un détail face à l’ensemble.
La soirée est déjà une réussite, avec un public venu en nombre pour ce samedi soir.
Puis arrive Lord of the Lost.
Formé en 2007 à Hambourg autour de Chris Harms, le groupe est aujourd’hui une référence incontournable du metal gothique moderne.
Leur force ? Mélanger les styles : metal, rock, industriel, glam… tout en gardant une identité forte et reconnaissable.
Beaucoup les connaissent aussi pour leur passage à l’Eurovision Song Contest 2023, mais leur carrière va bien au-delà : tournées mondiales, festivals majeurs et même des dates avec Iron Maiden.
Sur cette tournée Tour Noir, ils défendent notamment leur ambitieuse trilogie Opvs Noir, un projet en trois albums qui montre encore leur capacité à se réinventer.
Et comme toujours : jamais déçu.
Une présence scénique impressionnante, un chanteur charismatique, un groupe ultra carré. Même sans connaître parfaitement les derniers morceaux, le live permet de les redécouvrir complètement.
Une soirée complète, intense, variée… et surtout réussie du début à la fin.

Back in Action: A Magical Night at the Z7 in Pratteln
Back in action this Saturday, April 25th, with a highly anticipated trip to the Z7 Konzertfabrik for a night that promised a lot… and absolutely delivered.
Three bands on the bill, kicking things off at full speed with a great discovery: League of Distortion.
Formed in 2022 by vocalist Anna “Ace” Brunner (also known from Exit Eden) and guitarist Jim Müller (Kissin’ Dynamite), the band was born during the pandemic with a clear goal: channel frustration and raw energy into music. The result is a highly effective modern metal sound blending electronics, heavy riffs, and catchy hooks.
On stage, they don’t hold back: powerful presence, an outstanding vocalist, and a band that instantly grabs the audience’s attention. A real live slap in the face—in the best possible way—and definitely one of the highlights of the evening.
Then came the question that lingered throughout the venue: who did the crowd come for? The mysterious Dogma or the charismatic Lord of the Lost?
Hard to say… and honestly, judging by the atmosphere, the answer is probably simple: both.
So let’s stop overthinking and enjoy the moment. The arrival of Dogma was something I had been waiting for. And thanks to the Z7, it finally happened.
Dogma is more than just a band—it’s a concept. An all-female group blending metal, theatrical rock, and dark, almost religious imagery. They embody symbolic figures and explore themes of freedom, provocation, and emancipation.
Their music, driven by powerful riffs and a sensual, immersive atmosphere, delivers a strong identity both visually and musically.
Live, it’s a full experience: makeup, stage acting, presence—everything is carefully crafted. Musically solid and visually captivating, we absolutely loved their performance.
Only a small downside: the way they left the stage at the end felt a bit strange… but that’s a minor detail compared to the overall show.
At this point, the night was already a success, with a strong turnout for this Saturday evening.
Then came Lord of the Lost.
Formed in 2007 in Hamburg by Chris Harms, the band has become a major name in modern gothic metal. Their strength lies in blending genres—metal, rock, industrial, glam—while maintaining a strong and recognizable identity.
Many people also know them from the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, but their career goes far beyond that, with international tours, major festivals, and even shows alongside Iron Maiden.
On this Tour Noir, they are showcasing their ambitious Opvs Noir trilogy, once again proving their ability to evolve and push boundaries.
And as always: never disappointed.
A powerful stage presence, a charismatic frontman, and a band that is incredibly tight live. Even without knowing all the latest songs, the live performance gives them a whole new dimension.
A complete, intense, and diverse evening… and above all, a success from start to finish.
