Ultra Vomit enflamme l’Alhambra : une soirée puissante marquée par la révélation Knuckle Head
Ce samedi soir, l’attente touchait enfin à sa fin. Le concert d’Ultra Vomit initialement prévu en mai 2025 et complet en quelques jours retrouvait son public pour une date qui avait déjà tout d’un événement incontournable. Après leur passage cet été sur la grande scène du Paléo Festival, le groupe revenait dans un cadre bien plus intime : la salle Alhambra à Genève, une salle emblématique pour la musique actuelle.
Knuckle Head : la claque en première partie
Avant l’arrivée d’Ultra Vomit, c’est Knuckle Head qui a pris tout le monde à contre-pied. Le duo français a livré une prestation d’une intensité remarquable riffs saturés, ambiance sombre, énergie brute, un style mélangeant rock profond et rock sombre, avec ce petit goût de poussière, bourbon et liberté.
La montée en puissance entre les premiers accords posés tranquillement et le final explosif a emporté le public coup de cœur assuré.
Ultra Vomit : le metal parodique en communion avec le public
Puis est venu le moment tant attendu. Ultra Vomit, originaire de Nantes, en pleine tournée depuis fin 2023 et qui continue encore en 2026 a pris possession de la scène.
Leur show a su garder la chaleur et l’énergie dès les premières secondes, jusqu’à la dernière note. À un moment marquant, le groupe a fait participer le public avec un seul mot : « Genève » un moment de communion avec l’audience qui restera dans les mémoires. Ce soir-là, public déguisé ou coiffé de casquettes canard, l’ambiance était à la fête.
Pour ma part, la revoir 15 ans après notre première rencontre en 2010 à Lausanne, au festival Métal Assault a été un plaisir : mis à part le bassiste, le groupe n’a pas changé. Toujours cette même folie, ce même sens du spectacle et de l’humour, mais avec une maturité musicale intacte.
Les chansons s’enchaînent, le public conquis, et on n’a qu’une hâte : que ça ne s’arrête jamais.
Un grand merci aux organisateurs pour cette soirée parfaite de bout en bout.

Ultra Vomit Sets the Alhambra on Fire: A Powerful Evening Marked by the Breakout Performance of Knuckle Head
This Saturday evening, the long-awaited moment finally arrived. The Ultra Vomit concert originally scheduled for May 2025 and sold out within days was back on track for what was already shaping up to be an unmissable event. After their massive summer show on the main stage of the Paléo Festival, the band returned in a much more intimate setting: Geneva’s Alhambra, a venue well-known for hosting high-quality live music events.
Knuckle Head: The First-Act Knockout
Before Ultra Vomit took the stage, Knuckle Head was the one to catch the audience off guard. The French duo delivered a performance of exceptional intensity saturated riffs, a dark and gritty atmosphere, raw energy, and a unique blend of heavy rock with a dusty, bourbon-soaked vibe.
The slow, deliberate build-up of their set, from calm opening chords to an explosive finale, swept the audience away. A true revelation of the evening.
Ultra Vomit: Parodic Metal and Pure Connection with the Crowd
Then came the highlight everyone was waiting for. Ultra Vomit the iconic Nantes-based metal parody band currently on tour since late 2023 and still going strong in 2026, took control of the stage with unwavering energy.
They kept the heat and intensity alive from the very first second. One memorable moment saw the band engage the audience with a single word: “Geneva.” Those who were there know exactly what that meant a shared joke, a moment of unity, and a burst of pure joy.
Seeing them again, 15 years after our first encounter in 2010 at the Metal Assault Festival in Lausanne where Samael headlined was a true pleasure. Aside from the bassist, nothing has changed: the same craziness, the same humor, the same vibrant spirit… only sharpened by years of experience.
With the crowd dressed up, wearing duck hats, or simply ready to party, the atmosphere was electric. Songs followed one after another, the audience was completely won over, and the only wish left was for the night to never end.
