Après les Espoirs, la Première prend le relais !
Après la superbe victoire de nos Espoirs, obtenue avec panache et de la manière, c’est maintenant au tour de notre équipe Première de suivre la même voie et de prendre possession du terrain !
La météo est toujours aussi magnifique en ce début d’après-midi à Annemasse. ☀️🏉 Un petit vent vient toutefois jouer les trouble-fêtes, notamment lors des tentatives de pénalité, selon le côté du terrain. Mais nos joueurs en ont l’habitude : ils ont déjà connu des conditions bien plus venteuses et savent parfaitement composer avec les éléments.
Place au premier match officiel de cette nouvelle saison 2026-2027 de Nationale 2.
15h15 : le coup d’envoi est donné !
Et le moins que l’on puisse dire, c’est que Floirac n’a pas l’intention de laisser le Servette s’installer tranquillement dans la rencontre.
Floirac frappe le premier
Dès la 2e minute, A. Barbier ouvre le score pour Floirac sur pénalité.
Le buteur girondin récidive à la 8e minute et permet à son équipe de prendre rapidement six points d’avance.
Mais les Servettiens ne tardent pas à réagir.
À la 20e minute, R. Sarragallet trouve la faille et inscrit le premier essai du Servette dans cette rencontre. J. Porchertransforme et permet à son équipe de passer devant au score.
Sept minutes plus tard, les Servettiens frappent une nouvelle fois ! A. Tronc franchit la ligne à la 27e minute et J. Porcher ajoute les deux points de la transformation.
Le Servette mène alors 14 à 6.
Floirac ne lâche rien et obtient une nouvelle pénalité à la 31e minute, transformée par l’inévitable A. Barbier.
La fin de cette première période est particulièrement animée, avec plusieurs sanctions : un carton jaune pour Floirac à la 26e minute, puis un carton jaune pour chacune des deux équipes à la 37e minute.
À la pause, le Servette mène 14 à 9.
Une deuxième mi-temps sous tension
Au retour des vestiaires, Floirac revient avec de nouvelles intentions.
À la 43e minute, E. Segui inscrit un essai pour les visiteurs. A. Barbier transforme et permet à Floirac de reprendre l’avantage : 14 à 16.
Le match devient alors une véritable bataille. Chaque possession compte et le moindre point peut faire basculer la rencontre.
Dans ce match particulièrement tendu, le pied de J. Porcher va faire toute la différence.
À la 57e minute, il remet le Servette devant grâce à une pénalité : 17 à 16.
Les minutes passent, la pression monte, mais les Servettiens restent concentrés et ne cèdent rien.
À la 71e minute, J. Porcher réussit une nouvelle pénalité.
Puis, à la 77e minute, le buteur servettien récidive une dernière fois et inscrit les trois derniers points de la rencontre.
23 à 16 !
Une première victoire au bout du combat
Le coup de sifflet final retentit au stade Henri-Jeantet : victoire du Servette Rugby Club de Genève 23 à 16 face au Club Municipal de Floirac.
Une victoire qui n’aura pas été facile à obtenir. Les Servettiens auront dû batailler pendant 80 minutes face à une équipe de Floirac particulièrement accrocheuse, dans une rencontre où le score est resté serré jusqu’au bout.
Avec deux essais inscrits et surtout un J. Porcher impérial au pied, auteur de 13 points, le Servette réussit son entrée dans cette nouvelle saison de Nationale 2.
Après les Espoirs, la Première prend donc, elle aussi, la bonne direction.
Deux équipes, deux victoires : la saison 2026-2027 ne pouvait pas mieux commencer ! 🔴⚪🏉
Et maintenant, place à la suite… car ce championnat ne fait que commencer !

After the Espoirs, the First Team Takes Over!
Following the Espoirs’ superb and convincing victory, it was time for our First Team to follow the same path and take to the field!
The weather remained magnificent at the start of the afternoon in Annemasse. ☀️🏉 A light wind occasionally caused problems, particularly during penalty attempts, depending on which end of the pitch the teams were playing. However, our players are used to such conditions: they have already experienced much stronger winds and know how to adapt to the elements.
It was time for the first official match of the new 2026-2027 Nationale 2 season.
3:15 p.m.: the match kicks off!
And one thing quickly became clear: Floirac had no intention of allowing Servette to settle comfortably into the game.
Floirac Strikes First
In only the 2nd minute, A. Barbier opened the scoring for Floirac with a penalty.
The Floirac kicker struck again in the 8th minute, quickly giving his team a six-point lead.
However, the Servette players soon responded.
In the 20th minute, R. Sarragallet found the breakthrough and scored Servette’s first try of the match. J. Porcherconverted, allowing his team to take the lead.
Seven minutes later, Servette struck again! A. Tronc crossed the try line in the 27th minute, before J. Porcher added the two points from the conversion.
Servette now led 14-6.
Floirac refused to give up and earned another penalty in the 31st minute, successfully kicked by the ever-reliable A. Barbier.
The end of the first half was particularly eventful, with several disciplinary sanctions: Floirac received a yellow card in the 26th minute, followed by one yellow card for each team in the 37th minute.
At half-time, Servette led 14-9.
A Tense Second Half
After returning from the changing rooms, Floirac came back with renewed determination.
In the 43rd minute, E. Segui scored a try for the visitors. A. Barbier converted, allowing Floirac to regain the lead: 14-16.
The match then developed into a real battle. Every possession mattered, and a single point could change the outcome of the encounter.
In this particularly tense contest, the kicking of J. Porcher would make all the difference.
In the 57th minute, he put Servette back in front with a penalty: 17-16.
As the minutes passed, the pressure continued to rise, but the Servette players remained focused and refused to give anything away.
In the 71st minute, J. Porcher successfully kicked another penalty.
Then, in the 77th minute, the Servette kicker struck for the final time and scored the last three points of the match.
23-16!
An Opening Victory Earned Through Battle
The final whistle sounded at the Henri-Jeantet Stadium, confirming a 23-16 victory for Servette Rugby Club de Genève against Club Municipal de Floirac.
It was certainly not an easy victory. The Servette players had to battle for the full 80 minutes against a determined Floirac side, in a match that remained closely contested until the very end.
With two tries scored and an outstanding performance from J. Porcher, who contributed 13 points with the boot, Servette made a successful start to the new Nationale 2 season.
After the Espoirs, the First Team is also heading in the right direction.
Two teams, two victories: the 2026-2027 season could not have started any better! 🔴⚪🏉
Now, it is time to look ahead… because this championship has only just begun!
