Une victoire arrachée à la dernière seconde
Le Servette Rugby Club de Genève a signé un succès aussi précieux que spectaculaire face à l’US Seynoise (35-34), au terme d’un match à suspense total lors de la 10ᵉ journée de Nationale 2. Une rencontre renversante où les Grenats ont dû attendre la toute dernière action pour sceller leur victoire.
Un premier acte totalement débridé
Le Servette démarre fort grâce à un essai d’Akaoui à la 5ᵉ minute, transformé par Gonnet, puis une pénalité du même ouvreur porte l’avantage genevois à 10-0. Mais Seyne réagit immédiatement : Miot réduit l’écart sur pénalité (13ᵉ), avant que Redortier ne marque en coin deux minutes plus tard.
L’US Seynoise prend même les commandes avec deux essais successifs : Ory (22ᵉ) puis Troia (29ᵉ), tous deux transformés par Miot, portant le score à 24-13. Malgré un carton jaune coté Seynoise, Dubourdeau enfonce le clou à la 34ᵉ minute. Sacaze, juste avant la pause, redonne espoir au Servette avec un essai opportuniste.
À la mi-temps, Seyne mène 24-20.
Servette se relance, Seyne répond
La reprise est parfaite pour Genève : Salvetat marque dès la 41ᵉ minute, transformé par Vincent, permettant au Servette de repasser devant (27-24). Les deux équipes s’échangent ensuite des pénalités – Porcher (54ᵉ) et Vincent (57ᵉ) – maintenant un suspense total.
À l’approche du dernier quart d’heure, un carton jaune côté genevois laisse une ouverture à la Seynoise, qui en profite : Nehme inscrit un essai puissant à la 73ᵉ minute, redonnant l’avantage aux visiteurs (34-30). Tout semble alors pencher pour Seyne.
Un final héroïque
Mais le Servette refuse d’abdiquer. Les Grenats poussent jusqu’au bout et, sur la dernière action du match, Robert aplatit l’essai libérateur à la 80ᵉ minute. Porcher, sous pression, passe la transformation de la victoire.
Score final : 35-34.
Une victoire au courage
Genève s’impose au bout du suspense dans un match engagé, riche en essais et en rebondissements. L’US Seynoise, solide et inspirée, pourra regretter d’avoir laissé filer un succès qui lui tendait les bras. Le Servette, lui, démontre une nouvelle fois son caractère dans les moments décisifs.

A last-second, hard-earned victory
Servette Rugby Club de Genève claimed a win as precious as it was spectacular against US Seynoise (35–34), at the end of a fully suspense-filled match on Matchday 10 of Nationale 2. It was a stunning, back-and-forth encounter in which the Grenats had to wait until the very last play to seal the victory.
A wild first half
Servette struck early with an Akaoui try in the 5th minute, converted by Gonnet, before another penalty from the fly-half extended the Geneva lead to 10–0. But Seyne reacted immediately: Miot closed the gap with a penalty (13’), and Redortier scored in the corner two minutes later.
US Seynoise then took control with two successive tries — Ory (22’) and Troia (29’) — both converted by Miot, pushing the score to 24–13. Even with a yellow card on the Seynoise side, Dubourdeau added another try in the 34th minute. Just before halftime, Sacaze reignited Servette’s hopes with an opportunistic try.
At the break, Seyne led 24–20.
Servette pushes back, Seyne responds
The second half began perfectly for Geneva: Salvetat scored in the 41st minute, converted by Vincent, putting Servette back in front (27–24). The teams then traded penalties — Porcher (54’) and Vincent (57’) — maintaining a gripping level of suspense.
Entering the final quarter, a yellow card for Geneva created an opening for Seynoise, who seized the moment: Nehme powered over in the 73rd minute, giving the visitors the lead once again (34–30). At that point, everything seemed to be leaning Seyne’s way.
A heroic finish
But Servette refused to give up. The Grenats pushed until the very end and, on the final action of the match, Robert grounded the decisive try in the 80th minute. Under heavy pressure, Porcher nailed the conversion for the win.
Final score: 35–34.
A courageous victory
Geneva emerged victorious at the end of a fiercely contested match, rich in intensity, tries, and momentum shifts. US Seynoise, solid and inspired, may regret letting a seemingly secured win slip away. Servette, meanwhile, once again showcased their character in decisive moments.
