La Première du Servette cale dans un match fermé face à Tricastin
Après la belle victoire des Espoirs un peu plus tôt dans la journée, tous les regards étaient tournés vers l’équipe première : allait-elle suivre le même chemin et aller chercher les points de la victoire ? L’envie était bien là au coup d’envoi, avec une équipe du Servette visiblement motivée. Mais comme souvent, la détermination seule ne suffit pas.
La première mi-temps donne rapidement le ton : un combat fermé, haché, où les deux équipes peinent à créer du jeu. Seules trois pénalités viennent alimenter le tableau d’affichage. M. Faure ouvre le score pour Tricastin (10e), J. Porcher lui répond (22e), avant que Faure ne redonne l’avantage aux siens (24e). À la pause, le score de 3 à 6 illustre parfaitement un match verrouillé, sans véritable envolée.
On espérait une réaction après la pause, d’autant que Tricastin se retrouve à deux reprises en infériorité numérique avec des cartons jaunes (42e et 51e). J. Porcher en profite pour remettre les deux équipes à égalité (51e), mais le Servette ne parvient pas à capitaliser sur ces temps forts.
Au contraire, ce sont les visiteurs qui vont faire la différence. W. Maamry inscrit le premier essai du match à la 53e minute, transformé par M. Faure. Malgré une nouvelle pénalité de Porcher (64e), Tricastin frappe à nouveau dans la foulée avec un essai de J. Chataignier (65e), qui creuse un écart décisif.
Le Servette tente bien de réagir en fin de match, avec notamment un drop de J. Porcher à la 80e minute, mais cela reste insuffisant. Trop peu d’occasions, trop peu d’inspiration offensive : difficile de reconnaître l’équipe dans cette rencontre.
Score final : 12 à 18.
Une défaite frustrante dans un match qui ne restera pas dans les mémoires, et qui éloigne un peu plus le Servette des phases finales. Il faudra rapidement retrouver du rythme et de la créativité pour espérer inverser la tendance sur les prochaines échéances.

Servette First Team Stalls in a Tight Match Against Tricastin
After the U21s’ impressive victory earlier in the day, all eyes were on the first team: would they follow the same path and secure a win? The intent was clearly there at kickoff, with a visibly motivated Servette side. But as is often the case, determination alone was not enough.
The first half quickly set the tone: a closed, fragmented battle where both teams struggled to create attacking opportunities. Only three penalties were scored. M. Faure opened the scoring for Tricastin (10th), J. Porcher replied (22nd), before Faure restored his side’s lead (24th). At halftime, the 3–6 scoreline perfectly reflected a locked game with little attacking flair.
There was hope for a reaction after the break, especially as Tricastin were reduced to 14 men twice due to yellow cards (42nd and 51st). J. Porcher took advantage to level the score (51st), but Servette failed to capitalize on these opportunities.
Instead, the visitors made the difference. W. Maamry scored the first try of the match in the 53rd minute, converted by M. Faure. Despite another penalty from Porcher (64th), Tricastin struck again almost immediately with a try from J. Chataignier (65th), creating a decisive gap.
Servette attempted to respond late in the match, notably with a drop goal from J. Porcher in the 80th minute, but it was not enough. Too few chances, too little attacking creativity — it was difficult to recognize the team in this performance.
Final score: 12–18.
A frustrating defeat in a match that will not be remembered, and one that pushes Servette further away from the playoffs. They will need to quickly rediscover rhythm and creativity to turn things around in the upcoming fixtures.
